3.26 Selection Procedures For Principals, Assistant Principals

All newly hired principals and assistant principals must possess the required competencies as set forth by Florida Statutes and the State Board of Education Rules.

(1) All candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as specified in the job description.

(2) All candidates meeting minimum qualifications shall be screened by a committee of at least three (3) persons appointed by the Superintendent or his designee. The Superintendent will examine the findings of the screening committee and determine the recommendation(s) to present to the Board for approval.
